NYSE Euronext Indices - Content Change of BEL20 and PSI20 Index Files

Further to a change announcement on 19 July 2010, NYSE Technologies would like to remind you that NYSE Euronext Indices, set out below, will adopt the calculation methodology for total and net return indices to include dividends at the close of the ex-date instead of at the opening of the ex-date. This methodology conforms to the existing AEX calculation methodology.

Find below the list of impacted total return indices:

As from 1 October 2010 the kinematics of these indices will be harmonized to the kinematics of the AEX index. 

As a result the Index File Service content will change as follows:

• Index files: The before mentioned total return indices will no longer be listed in the files on a separate record. The return index levels will be listed in the appropriate fields within the record of the concerning price index.
• Stock files: The mnemonic codes of the aforementioned total return indices will no longer be listed in the stock files.

Attached are examples of the EOD files for both current layout (with file date 20100930) as well as for new layout (with file date 20101001).
