As previously communicated in April, 2010, the EMDS data feed will be decommissioned with effect from 1 September 2010. However, the migration dates have since been revised and are detailed below.

The migration of Indices data from EMDS onto the Universal Trading Platform Market Data (UTP-MD) Feed for Euronext European Cash Markets has been scheduled to take place in advance of this decommissioning to allow customers appropriate time to migrate their applications.

Currently Volatility Indices and some Strategy Indices are disseminated to customers via the EMDS feed. The initial migration plan will see these Indices being migrated to the UTP-MD feed and being sent to customers in the same format as the Indices currently disseminated via the UTP-MD feed. There will be no technical enhancements to the UTP-MD feed required to support this change and the Indices migrating from EMDS to UTP-MD will adopt the UTP-MD message format already defined (542, 543 and 544 messages). Clients are asked to note that the volatility indices will be included in a new class (InstrumentGroupCode 84) and a new Market Feed Code (MarketFeedCode 61).

The NEW dates for this migration are as follows:

* 19 April 2010 - Introduction of ''migration'' Indices in UTP-MD EUA

* 14 June 2010 - Go Live of ''migration'' Indices in UTP-MD Production

* 1 July 2010 - UTP-MD considered ''primary'' source of Indices data for migration Indices

* 2 August 2010 - Termination of Indices data via EMDS

The above plan allows for a parallel running period between 14 June 2010 and 1 July 2010 where customers can use either UTP-MD or EMDS in Production. From 1 July 2010, UTP-MD will be considered the ''primary'' data source.

Along with the migration to the UTP-MD feed, a new Index calculator has also been sourced and implemented. The new Index calculator increases the efficiency and accuracy of Index calculation in comparison with the legacy EMDS system. As such, it is important for customers to note that when the UTP- MD feed is considered the ‘primary’ source of data on 1 July, 2010, there may be subtle differences in prices between UTP-MD to EMDS.
