NYSE Technologies have partnered with MDX Technology to offer ConnectExcel, a desktop connectivity platform enabling the delivery of realtime market data directly to the desktop. ConnectExcel provides a MAMA interface which allows normalized, realtime market data to be brought directly from NYSE Technologies Direct Feed Handlers and SuperFeed to the desktop.
Reducing the complexity and performance issues around bringing realtime data to the desktop, ConnectExcel allows users to cope effectively with today’s high data rates. Support from MS Excel 2003 onwards is provided, with the improvements made in the latest versions of Excel being fully utilized to ensure maximum performance of Excel based trading applications.
In addition to the MAMA plugin for ConnectExcel, interfaces for other market data vendors including Bloomberg, Reuters and TIBCO Rendezvous are also available.
