OpenMAMA and OpenMAMDA APIs

The open source solutions for vendor-neutral middleware implementation

In 2011, NYSE Technologies approached a number of organizations in the financial services industry and simply asked, “What are the key issues you are facing today, and what technology changes do you really want to see to address these?”

One significant and recurring pain point observed was the ever-increasing complexity customers face every day maintaining and integrating solutions from multiple vendors and various internal proprietary applications (a problem MAMA™has already addressed). When NYSE Technologies investigated why MAMA wasn’t being used to its fullest potential it became clear this was down to fears of vendor lock-in!
