NYSE Liffe has previously informed customers that the LIFFE CONNECT® API was to be classified as a secondary feed, and would seek to be decommissioned at the end of February 2011. This was a result of the majority of market volumes then being traded via the CCG.
The majority of customers are now trading via the CCG, with the remainder due to migrate by end March 2011.
As communicated in February, to further improve the performance of the XDP market data feed, additional bandwidth is to be allocated to some XDP market data streams. Ahead of this allocation NYSE Liffe are to reduce the bandwidth allocation given to the LIFFE CONNECT® API, over SFTI®, by half. This will allow for the additional bandwidth to be allocated to XDP at the end of March.
This reduction in bandwidth reflects NYSE Liffe’s service improvement roadmap, designed to further improve the XDP service while working towards decommissioning the LIFFE CONNECT® API in full.
NYSE Liffe anticipate that the LIFFE CONNECT® API bandwidth change will occur on 12/13 March 2011, in preparation for market open on 14 March 2011. If you have any questions regarding this change or you have any questions about UTP please contact Technology Partnerships as detailed above.
